Cute place, but as soon as we were seated there was a terrible sewer smell & we noticed a floor drain right by our table! We moved to another table & ordered an appetizer of fried chicken livers that took forever to be served to us (there were only 2 other couples seated at tables, so it was not busy). When they arrived they were not completely cooked! YUCK! Our waitress was very pleasant, but not very attentive....she did replace our appetizer with a new order that was way overcooked, but at least they weren't raw inside. We will not be dining there again.
I stopped in for an early lunch and ordered a burger and fries. The fries were soggy. The burger was a good sized potion, but it was so dry and over cooked I could not eat it. There was only one other person there, but it took 25 minutes to get my food. I will not be going back.
S.Iowa at its finest. Good local lake folks, cheap prices, good values, good food thats bad for you. Best around.
Overpriced prime rib "special" that was served at room temp. Not near enough waitstaff to handle the Friday night crowd.
Well over an hour from ordering to getting the food. Staff was clearly stressed but doing what they could. Prime rib was sub par. Apparently I like my steak like I like my beer... cold.
All you can eat fish is great. Love connie
